WARNING! Long entry!
I'm finally home! :)
Let's go through the "Singa-trip" (coined by Rei) day by day, shall we? XD
Day 1: It took approximately 3 hours to get to Singapore. Singapore Airlines is hella cool. The movies they showed and the music they played onboard rocked! :) At the airport, Uncle Francis picked us up in his Volvo, and in there, he played tourist guide. He told us a bit about Singapore. XD At my uncle's flat, we dropped off our stuff. Uncle Francis lives right smack where the happenings were, well, happening. XD Well, as it turns out, in the three-bedroom unit, one bedroom belongs to my uncle (where I stayed), another bedroom belongs (belonged, actually) to my grandparents (where my parents and sister stayed-- my grandparents moved out), and the last bedroom was used as a den/storage room. After showing us around his unit, Uncle Francis took us to this Japanese restaurant for dinner.
Day 2: "Perfect palang katabi si Louie... hindi gumagalaw at hindi maingay," Uncle Francis said, practicing his Tagalog. Yup, we were roommates. He didn't know that I barely slept. Hahaha! I had a hard time sleeping... XD Anyway, we (our family plus my uncle) joined a city tour! Took pics and stuff. Acted touristy. :)
Day 3: Went to Sentosa Island! It was okay, though it did change a bit from what I remembered it to be years ago. :)
Day 4: In the morning, I went out with Rei. We walked along the long stretch of Orchard Rd and checked out all the malls and possible hang-outs. XD I treated Rei to an ice cream sandwich before going back to the flat. Hehe... I'm a good little brother. XD The rest of the day was spent with Mom and Dad. At night, we joined the Night Safari. Fun. XD
Day 5: Rei and I bonded with Uncle Francis, as Mom and Dad had an appointment with some business guy. Uncle Francis taught us how to take the subway, and he showed us where all the stops led to. Was cool. XD Along the way, he told us about his life and stuff. We told him about our lives too. Hehe... XD Aside from that, I laid my eyes on this management university. *hint*
Day 6: Joined this drive to Malaysia thing. It's practically just crossing the border of Singapore and Malaysia, and looking over Singapore while standing on Malaysian land. Yeah.
Day 7: Spent the day with Dad. He bought me an iPod mini! :) Upon learning that it was sold for a cheaper price there, than it is over here, I did everything to convince my dad to get me the green iPod mini I wanted for the longest time. Now, I must maintain an average higher than 85 next school year. XD I got songs from my uncle's PC. He had pretty cool songs in there.
Day 8: Went to mass. Ate out. Was okay. XD Dad's friend called. Apparently he learned that we were in Singapore and he invited us over at his resort in Bali, Indonesia. Dad said yes. Uncle Francis got us a flight (he works as a pilot for Singapore Airlines) and went back to work. XD
Day 9: My family went shopping for beach stuff.
Day 10: Flew to Bali in the late afternoon. I spent the whole morning running errands (read: buying stuff for mom) and part of the afternoon trying to pack my stuff into my suitcase. I'm lousy at it. XD
Days 11, 12 and 13: Stayed in Bali. :) Dad's friend's resort is HUGE. It even has it's private beach! We stayed in this villa which had it's own pool. I swam every single day! :) We went white water rafting, where Rei nearly fell off the raft! XD It was hot, though it rained every afternoon. I'm proud to say I still got darker! XD There was also an earthquake! But it wasn't too hard at the place where we were. Thankfully. :) I also tried out golf, and I sucked. Yup, I love soccer more. XD
Day 14: Flew back to Singapore. Uncle couldn't pick us up himself as he was back to flying, so it was his friends who picked us up. Both used Porsches! Man, they have great cars back there! :O Anyway, I helped Mom make dinner that day. We didn't go out to eat.
Day 15: I spent the whole day by myself. :) Aside from the money that I had (yup, my "savings"), my parents gave me money and told me I could buy whatever I wanted! :D I bought CDs, and a cap, a new soccer ball, among lots of things. I got myself new sneakers too. Black G-unit sneakers! XD
Day 16: I went with my family to buy stuff for the people at home. Panic! Last-minute buying! Haha! I bought pasalubongs for mi amigos. :) Haha... I was able to get some of what my kabarkadas were requesting. Yes, I got your iPod protectors! Dan said they were cheaper in Singapore eh. XD Oh, and my uncle went back to Singapore so he could see us off.
Day 17: It took me long again to fix my suitcase! I'm really a lousy packer! I barely had sleep because of packing! Well, aside from that, I was also sidetracked because my Uncle was chatting with me. I told him I had ideas of studying in Singapore (hehe, yup, in that mangement university). He said he would help me if ever, because he knew people from there, and if ever (again), I could stay with him. I said thank you, and I'll think more about it. XD So anyway, we went to the airport three hours early for our flight. Dad and I used their free internet as my mom and sister went for more shopping. I posted an entry while I was there! :) Flew back to Manila.
Now I'm here. The end. I warned you, it was a long entry. ^_^
And goodbye (14:36).
